The silence came bursting through the walls, that night. No chairs or tables between you and me. Instead of the usual small talk, we just stayed there and waited. No movements. My eyes got used to the pale light. It was raining. Words came to my mind, but I was too amazed to speak. I felt the silence bursting through me. Violently. No warnings. No needs.
